SURGERY

Our highly skilled veterinary team has experience in a wide range of surgical procedures.  We strive to make sure our patients and their families are comfortable with the whole process, beginning with pre-surgical consults and pre-surgery check-in to your pet's dismissal and aftercare.

When your pet is ready to go home, we will review his/her post-operative instructions and medications.  If at any time you have questions or concerns, do not hesitate to call us.  We will do everything we can to help your pet recover fully and quickly.

Our surgical services include, but are not limited to:
  • Spays
  • Neuters
  • Dental cleanings and radiology (x-ray)
  • Dental extractions
  • Mass and tumor removals
  • Abdominal Foreign body removal
  • Cystotomy (Cutting into bladder for stone removal)

To make sure your pet is in good health for surgery, we offer pre-anesthetic bloodwork.  This is performed on our in-house laboratory machines, meaning that we can perform the bloodwork the morning of surgery and have the results in 15 minutes or less.

We also offer Intravenous (IV) fluids during the procedures.  This not only helps keep your animal properly hydrated, but it also helps remove the anesthesia from the system after the procedure allowing for a faster and smoother recovery.
We also make sure that your pet receives adequate pain medication during and after all procedures.
Important Information for Your Pet's Surgery
  • Withhold food and water from your pet after 10pm the night before surgery.                  One exception may be diabetic patients.
  • Check-in is 8:00-8:15 am the morning of surgery.
  • Please notify us of any medications given to your pet 24 hours prior to surgery.
