  • Dr. Jacci Fedeler
    Dr. Jacci Fedeler
    Veterinarian/Owner

    Dr. Jacci grew up on a hobby farm in New Richmond, Wisconsin. Her family had a variety of animals including mostly dogs, cats, and horses, but also cattle, ducks, and 2 sheep and a goat. Growing up caring for these animals and trail riding helped nurture her love of animals and led to her interest in veterinary medicine from a very young age. Jacci's areas of interest are small animal wellness care, soft tissue surgery, dentistry (equine and small animal), equine wellness and lameness care.

    Extensive medical training in Equine from Merritt and Associates Equine Hospital

    Dr. Ryan Fedeler
    Veterinarian/Owner

    Dr. Ryan grew up on his family's acreage in Madison, South Dakota where the family raised sheep and cattle. Ryan was also extensively involved in 4-H and FFA. Ryan's areas of interest are wellness care, internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, small ruminant medicine (sheep and goats), and general livestock medicine. 



    Highlights:

    Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Iowa State University in 2010. 
    Bachelors Degree in Microbiology
    Special interest in small ruminants

  • Dr. Sarah Muirhead
    Dr. Sarah Muirhead
    Associate Veterinarian

    Dr. Sarah joined Heartland Veterinary Clinic in April 2020. Sarah grew up in Presho, South Dakota where she knew she wanted to be a veterinarian from a young age. She attended South Dakota State University where she earned her bachelor's degree in biology with minors in chemistry and animal health. Dr. Sarah continued her education at Iowa State University and graduated with her doctorate degree in Veterinary Medicine in 2020. Sarah's areas of interest are small animal surgery, internal medicine, ophthalmology (eye health), pathology and exotic pet health. Sarah lives with her significant other and two naughty cats - Baxter and Froggy.

  • Devan Schomp, RVT
    Devan Schomp, RVT
    Technician

    Devan is orginally from Nebraska. She graduated in 2003 from Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture in Curtis, Nebraska with an Associate's Degree in Veterinary Technology. She has been a part of our team since November 2015. Devan brings experience from her Clinical and Research background to our clinic. Devan is married with three children, three labradors, three horses, chickens, barn cats, and a rabbit.

    Jenna Heier
    Technician

    Jenna joined our clinic in September 2018. She has an associate's degree in animal science from Lake Area Tech in 2018. She is currently attending South Dakota State University for pre-vet requisites. Jenna grew up in Ordway, South Dakota (just outside of Aberdeen.) She currently has a Border Collie (Triton), and a couple of cats (Xena and Aella). Jenna loves working with cattle and brings that knowledge and passion to our clinic.

    Bree joined Heartland Veterinary Clinic in July 2021. She grew up in Montevideo, MN where she raised rabbits and participated in 4-H and FFA. She is currently attending Penn Foster’s online program to achieve an associate’s degree in veterinary technology and to become a registered veterinary technician. Bree has special interests in exotics, especially in pocket pets. She has two rabbits, Lily and Notch, two guinea pigs, Ethel and Beverly, and one little mouse, Millie Jo.

  • Lindsey Krieger
    Lindsey Krieger
    Receptionist

    Lindsey is our smiling face at the front desk. She grew up on a ranch in Burke, South Dakota where they raise Hereford Cattle. They also had horses, chickens, dogs, and cats. Growing up she showed cattle and horses in 4-H. Lindsey and her better half, as she calls him, Todd have three beautiful children and a St. Bernard Poodle mix named Cooper Dobbs.
