We are in the middle of that season again. People are sneezing, congested, and itchy from allergies. Did you know pets also commonly have allergies? It is true! Unfortunately, allergies are common in any dog breed. Typically allergies appear after six months of age. However, an animal can begin to have allergic reactions at any age. So what is an allergy? The definition of an allergy is an immune response produced by the body to a substance or object to the point the animal has become hypersensitive. Most allergens are proteins from plants, animals, or food.
